HOW TO REMOVE STAINS FROM AN OLD CARPET

The other day a friend of mine rang asking me if it was safe to remove some old stains from an antique carpet that she had inherited from her grandmother. The last thing she wanted was to spend a fortune having her carpet cleaned by a specialist

Well I have  been removing lots of stains from all kind of carpets so applied an old process

List of what is needed

2 bowls

white vinegar

fairy liquid

brush

clean cloth

kitchen paper

Into a bowl add

3 Parts of tepid water

1 Part of vinegar

1 Drop fairy liquid - do not add too much, the last thing you want is too much foam

Dip the brush into the liquid and very gently brush the stain in the direction of the warp

After the stain disappear, dip a cloth into clean water

And by pressing  the cloth into the carpet remove as much soap you can

With a dry cloth, dry the carpet by pressing the cloth into it.

All gone and I saved my  friend a lot of money
