CLEAN A MICROWAVE WITH VERY LITTLE EFFORT AND WITHOUT CHEMICALS
These days I'm trying my best to avoid chemicals - if possible - to clean things around the house. This time I decided to have a go at cleaning my very dirty microwave with lemon.
This is what I need it:
- 2 lemons/limes - I tend to save lemons/limes I used for cooking to clean the microwave.
- Water
- Bowl - microwave proff
- Microwave lid or cling film
- Clean cotton cloth
- Soft brush - scorer
1 - Pour water into a bowl.
2 - Squeeze some juice into the bowl and cut the lemons in 4
3 - Cover the bowl and put inside the microwave.
4 - Depending how dirty the microwave is set the time - mine was pretty dirty so a set for 15 minutes.
5 - Once time is finished do not open the microwave let it cold for 5 minutes, so steam inside will soften the food stains.
6 - Get the cotton cloth and give a wipe and scrub to the microwave.
7 - if there are persistent food stains use a scruber very gently and give a good go at it.
8 - With the soft brush scrub into does places nothing can reach.
9 - Wipe it clean, if there are still food stains do it again - I find it is quicker to start again from the beginning.
HAPPY HAPPY not only an I have a clean microwave, the lemon got rid of food smells from it.
I tend to wash the glass dish in the dishwasher.
NOTE Use the rest of the concentrated lemon water to clean the sink it is very good to remove watermarks.
