A FEW STEPS TO TAKE WHEN IT COMES TO REMOVE DIRT FROM ANTIQUE WOOD TABLES

Antique furniture is something we have to take good care of it.

They are beautiful, the wood can have so many shades of brown, but if a drop of water, a scratch or some dirt gets into it, they lose all the magic.

This table is very very old, so to remove this dirt it was a very delicate job.

WHAT IS NEEDED

- Furniture Wax - good quality one

- A few clean lint-free cloths - I like the fluffy yellow dusters for waxing and polishing.

STEP 1  -  Dip the finger into the wax.

STEP 2 - Very gently, massage the wax into the dirt - follow the grain of the wood - and let it soak for a minute.

STEP 3 - Now, that the dirt as softer it up, very gently and delicately remove whatever was sticking to the table.

STEP 4 - Pass the finger over the wood, to fill if all the dirt is gone.

STEP 5 - With a clean cloth, remove the excess of wax, using circular movements.

STEP 6 - With a clean fluffy soft cloth, give a good buff to the wood table, always using circular movements.

TO SEE if the table is well polished, using a clean cloth, through it over the table, if it skids without stopping is good to go, but if it stops halfway through, back to polishing again.

All the dirt is removed and the cloth flowed out the table.
