ONE WAY OF WAXING AND LOOK AFTER WOOD FURNITURE

We use this table everyday. Many things can be droped on top of it, like food, water, sugary things so the table can end up stiky with food stains and water marks but it is so easy to bring it back to her former glory and looking like new.

Take in mind, every wood furniture is different and requires different ways to lookING after it.

PLEASE do not do this in antique's furniture without asking the owners permision and double checking if it is ok to use this method.

For this specific one I just needed:

-  Clean yellow dusters

-  Good furniture wax

  TO REMOVE DIRT AND STICKINESS

OPTION 1 - FOR ANTIQUE FURNITURE

OPTION 2 - This way, if is old but not so precious

STEP 1 - Get a clean yellow duster and pass through very hot tap water, wring as much water that is possible ( the cloth should be humid and hot) and very quickly go over the table with it.

STEP 2 - Wipe the table with the hot cloth removing any stickiness and dirt  ( the cloth should be humid not wet, be very carful not to get the wood wet) and let it dry.

STEP 3 - Once you fill that the table is dry give a good buffing with a dry cloth

STEP 4 - With a clean cloth buff the wood to remove any excess wax.

STEP 5 - Get a new fluffy clean duster and give a good polish - it works better if you polish doing circles movements - at this stage you really have to put your back in to it and a lot of elbow grease

STEP 6 - After giving a good polishing and buffing, try to throw an clean cloth in such a way it should slid all the way from one end of the table to the other end but if it stops half way that means it needs more buffing

STEP 7 - Try again the cloth method, if it skid's all the way from one end to the other end of the table it is really waxed.
