Can not throw away my dirty fluffy pledge dusters, so I give them a second life

I’m really bad at using things once and then throwing them away. So I decided to do a little experiment with my dirty pledge dusters.

1 - After collecting a big bag of them, I washed them at 30c and spinned at 600 with a normal detergent but no softener.

2 - After they finished washing I put them in the tumble dryer for 5 minutes on the cold setting just to make them a bit fluffy (if you do not have a tumble dryer just give them a very good shaking)

3- Then, I let them dry on top of a radiator (it is winter so I can use the heat from it . You also can put them to dry on the shelf above your hot water cylinder)

4 - After they are completely dry, put them another 5 minutes in the tumble dryer at a cold setting to remove any dust (again if you do not have a tumble dryer give them a good shake but if possible outside).

I store mine in a plastic bag ready to be used again.

Not only I'm saving money but I’m also saving the planet.
