5 MINUTES JOBS AROUND THE HOUSE

Today is the dishwasher

I once in a while I run my dishwasher empty with a cleaning product to keep her in good working condition.

But let’s say, every 2 weeks, I clean the sides, the top and the rubber of the dishwasher door, removing any dirt that gets stuck to it (usually it takes more or less the time as I wait for the kettle to boil and the tea to brew).

WHAT IS NEED

Clean cloth

White vinegar

WHAT TO CLEAN

1 - START WITH THE DISHWASHER WATER FILTER

Remove the filter from its place and give it a good spray with vinegar and a bit of washing-up liquid.

With the brush give a good scrub and leave it soaking.

2 - Give a once over with a brush underneath were the filter sits (usually there is a bit of water there).

While everything is soaking move your attention to :

3 - THE DOOR sides of the dishwasher door, including also the sides of the cupboard.

WHAT TO USE TO CLEAN

Into a damp hot cloth put a few drops of vinegar and go around the door rubber sealants.

Rinse the cloth with hot water and wring out as much water as you can until the cloth is just humid and go around again to remove any vinegar and dirt.

4 - TOP OF THE DOOR

Clean the same way as above

5 - FRONT OF THE DOOR

Into the front of the door itself, spray a bit of vinegar to remove any fingerprints, watermarks and food, not forgetting also the dial buttons.

Rise it with a hot damp cloth.

6 - DO NOT FORGET to clean the gap underneath the door. (Mine has a little gap that collect a lot of dust)

7 - Rinse the filter with hot water and put it back into the dishwasher.

AND THE TEA SHOULD BE READY TO DRINK
