THINGS THAT SHOULD BE DONE AS PART OF EVERYDAY CLEANING 1
As part of the day-to-day routine, as you clean your kitchen worktops and as you clean under the toaster, kettle, or anything else that is on top of your worktop do not forget to remove the metal stainless still rods worktop protectors, that you use to put the hot pots and pans on.
The rods should be removed and washed as part of the end-of-day routine (depending on how much cooking you do ), otherwise, the food, grease, water and god knows what else, all combined will create a kind of glue and then the rods will end up being glued to the worktop, that will make it difficult to remove them.
Note - Wait for the cooker to cold down then clean. You do not want things to get stuck to the hot glass if is electric or burn yourself when removing things from a gas cooker.
STEP 1 - Remove the stainless still rods
FYI - I use this method because this worktop is not stone or marble so and can wash this way. DO take care when dealing with marble and stone.
STEP 2 - Spray white vinegar on the area that you want to clean, add washing-up liquid to a scorer and give a good scrub to the groves where the rods go
STEP 3 - Rinse with a hot clean cloth and polish dry straightway
Note - Make sure you go into the end corners of the groves
STEP 4 - Give a good scrub to the rods. Go with your fingers and fill if anything still stack to the rods
Nice and clean . If you do it everyday it only take 3 minutes + or -
