HOW TO REMOVE LIMESCALE FROM A MARBLE STONE TOP AROUND AWASH BASIN SINK

I took great care when doing this because it is a marble stone and everyone says, no one should ever use vinegar in marble but I have been cleaning marble stone this way for over 30 years and up to date never had an accident. It could be because modern stones are not of so great quality or are not well treated as before.

All I need was: - White vinegar - 3 clean cloths

STEP 1 - I spry very lightly white vinegar into the watermarks and with the damp cloth give a bit of a scrub. I do this, all around the basin.

STEP 2 - As I finished scrubbing ( I never let soaking for too long, less than a minute) all around the basin I go with another clean wet cloth and rinse all traces of the vinegar (I tend to rinse twice to make sure no vinegar is left behind) and with a dry cloth I dry it and give a good polish.

NOTE - As a precaution, I prefer to do steps 1 and 2 as many times as needed so the vinegar never stays too long in contact with the marble for too long. ( if you see is still some limescale do again step 1 and 2) I had to repeat 3 times in order to remove the limescale

4 - Once you are happy with it, rinse it one more time with a damp hot cloth and polish dry with a clean dry cloth. Going back and forwards, back and forwards, to make sure it is completely dry.

NOTE - Try to clean it regularly and do not leave it for so long to clean it, that way it will be much quicker to clean it.
