HOW TO REMOVE DARK MARKS FROM THE BOTTOM OF A BATHTUB

I have been trying so many things but this black stain never seems to go completely.

So the other day I decided to have another go.

Let’s see how it turns up.

MATERIALS

- Bicarbonate of soda - White vinegar - Clean cloth - Fairy liquid

STEP 1 - When I experiment with new methods, I always try to do a bit first to compare them and to see if it makes any difference. No point in wasting my time trying to do the all thing if it is not going to work.

STEP 2 - I Spray the bottom of the bathtub with white vinegar and then sprinkled the bicarbonate of soda and let it soak for a bit (more or less 30 minutes)

STEP 3 - After 30 minutes I give a bit of a scrub, just in one corner to see if it made any difference.

I was quite happy with it so decided to go ahead and clean the all thing.

STEP 4 - Sprayed all the bottom with the white vinegar and then pour the bicarbonate of soda on top and let it soak for 1 hour. (It was also a good idea to clean the drain at the same time )

NOTE - While it is soaking go back every so often and scrub a bit more, spray more vinegar and sprinkle more bicarbonate of soda

While I waited, I cleaned the bathroom, did a bit of clothes folding and clean the bedroom. Remember to go back to the bathtub a couple of times a give a soft but firm scrub to the black marks.

Now is when you will need a bit of elbow grease.

STEP 5 - I add a few drops of fairy liquid. As I started to scrub, I notice the combination of the 3 products created a very good paste that made it easy to scrub and started to notice the dark marks were vanishing.

STEP 6 - Rinsed with plenty of water. Black marks gone and clean drain, not so bad idea after all.

FYI - From now on this the only products I will use in this specific bathtub.
